Location: South Lyon
Renovations: James Hardie Siding, Soffit & Fascia, Gutters, Doors, Windows
A South Lyon couple needed a complete exterior overhaul, including replacing outdated siding, which had softened after years of wear. In addition, some critters were — with varying degrees of success — infiltrating the siding. The clients also had older windows that were no longer energy efficient and were allowing hot and cold air to creep into the interior of the home. Foggy areas on the glass were detracting from their outdoor view.
Gorgeous Siding and Windows Give New Life to an Older Home
The couple had worked with John McCarter Construction previously and were so pleased with the project that they recommended our company to their neighbors, so it was a no-brainer for them to seek us out for their latest renovation.
The couple chose James Hardie fiber cement siding in Mountain Sage and Autumn Sand for both its visual appeal and its durability. James Hardie siding is resistant to rotting, heat and flames, warping, weather and moisture, and discoloration. It is ideal for harsh Michigan winters and is also resistant to pests, meaning the customers won’t have to contend with persistent squatters again.
After a thorough assessment, we helped the customers choose the best windows for their home from our large selection of premium vinyl and wood brands. Our team specializes in full-frame replacement, which eliminates any problems at the root of the window. We rounded out the project with a new door and updated soffit, fascia, and gutters.
Beautiful Results and Happy Customers
Our team is committed to the highest level of customer service. During the construction, we encountered a small glitch when some of the door’s hardware didn’t arrive as planned, and a screen door didn’t close properly following the install. Per our usual responsiveness, we resolved both issues quickly.
The customer was thrilled with their home’s new façade and said they will continue to recommend John McCarter Construction to their South Lyon neighbors and other friends.
